Our Customers Love Us!
We have such wonderful customers and it feels so good when they express their appreciation for the hard work we do for them. We thought you might like to read just a few of the amazing things they have told us over the years.
I awakened this morning to a deliciously even and caressing heat from our wood stove. The contrast from the inefficient baseboard heat is astounding. Our long johns are in the wash and will be put away. Our woolen hats are back in the outdoor clothing closet and even our beautiful view of the blue ridge mountains is enhanced, but especially, now we have peace of mind. We can’t thank you enough.
I want you to know that in observing the work of Christian, we were duly impressed. This young man hustled without a break, longer than a full day for almost a week to solve our unique chimney problems. His efforts and determination were unbelievable. When I was sure that it was hopeless, he always comforted me by saying, “No, we’ll fix it. Don’t worry.” We watched him slide his arms up our chimney and heard him pounding the stubborn detritus that was jamming the flue. Not for minutes, but for hours and consistently with a pleasant demeanor.
I must compliment you on hiring the most pleasant, polite workmen. Each one who came here impressed us with their personal demeanor. It’s encouraging to know that hard work and kindness exists in our present world full of turmoil.
Our warm, gentle wood fire will be a constant reminder of how fortunate we were to find your company. We will recommend you with enthusiasm.
Kudos for Christian:
I am compelled, by gratitude, to write about the very impressive workman who we recently had in our home: Christian Smith of Blue Ridge Chimney in Harrisonburg, VA. Briefly, we needed to replace one of our three flues in our chimney with a stainless-steel flue. That in itself was no major problem. However, we had three flues in this chimney with a faulty design. In order to marry the three flues, our architect angled them with cinder block stairs. This chimney was designed to never be repaired. To dismantle the old flue, a variety of tools had to be used as the detritus jammed in the stair-step design.
We watched for days, with little hope, this young man wrestle with the removal of this jam. He worked without a break for 7 to 8 hours a day. We never heard a cross-word or the use of foul language, and he always spoke to us with smiles and patience. I can’t emphasize enough how we were impressed with his diligence, expertise, and pleasant demeanor. We ended up needing to replace all three flues which necessitated the use of cameras, steel rods, drills, and other equipment.
We now have the warm caressing heat of our wood stove, but especially, we have peace of mind that our chimney is no longer a hazard.
It’s important to us that you know there are good, kind, hard-working people out there like Christian who will help us to build a better world and to get through these unsettling times.
Chris (Jr.) and Steven did an amazing job at my cabin. They worked hard and were professional, knowledgable, efficient and, as you promised, very entertaining. I was enthralled by the process and impressed with their skills and willingness to explain it to me as they went along.
The chimney and the new clean-out look great; the new Napoleon even greater. I know I’m going to love it; the hard part is waiting for cool weather to test run it.
I look forward to my annual inspections and the chance to check in with the Guy family.
I apologize to Chris to have been sleeping in my chair as he wrapped up at about 2 a.m. or so Wednesday morning and pulled out, I did not get the opportunity to thank him and Steve personally. Please pass this on to them and hopefully it will at least make up for some of that missed final thank you. I will look forward to my annual chimney service from now on instead of dreading it. Kudos, Tom and Cindy L. It was refreshing to find that this level of quality still exists in the young adults of today.
Yesterday, Sept. 23, 2019, we had a chimney liner installed by your company. What the installers thought would be a simple in and out installation became, for them, about a ten hour or better ordeal. Mike Witmer, the leader, and his partner, Paul Pfeiffer, worked diligently, and extremely hard, to get the job done. It involved removing the flue liner tiles, as well as some of the old mortar and brick to get the liner down properly and with no damage. It seemed they were very safety conscious, and very respectful of our house. When they were finally done, their clean-up was so good, you could not tell they had even been there, in spite of the buckets and buckets full of broken liner, brick and mortar they had to remove.
We are now considering having a wood-burning fireplace insert installed, and should we go with your company, and that is very, very likely, we hope that Mike and Paul can do the work.
We will contacting you shortly to get an estimate on the insert.
Thank you and thanks to Mike and Paul, for a hard job well done
Hello. I just want to give a shout and thank you to Mike and Paul, they worked at 1217 meadow brook road in Waynesboro yesterday. They arrived early in the morning and worked late into the evening. They worked very hard and straight through, they were very nice and I felt bad that they had to work so late. Your company is very fortunate to have them on your team, real quality work.
He is an asset for you.Thank You
